Comments: This patient would never show her “chicken legs”. She would not wear shorts, even in the middle of summer. She returned to her office work two weeks after surgery. At first, she found heels more comfortable because it was hard to stretch out her legs completely. Her calf circumference increased from 11 inches to 12 ¾ inches. She bought a black dress and did a photo shoot at our office six weeks after surgery. She was now comfortable showing off her legs.

Comments: No amount of weight training had yielded results for this patient with “hypoplastic” calves. Calf implants were used in combination with fat injection to correct this disproportion. His calf circumference increased from 13 ½ inches to 15 1/8 inches. The incisions are placed in the natural crease behind the knees and fade with time and are well-concealed.
