Comments: This patient had been self-conscious about her protruding ears for as long as she could remember.

Comments: This patient wanted to have her self-described “monkey ears” corrected at the same time as her facelift. This is conveniently done using the same facelift incision that passes in the crease behind the ear.

Comments: This patient did not like her large and sagging earlobes. These were reduced using a triangular wedge resection under local anesthetic. She is seen immediately after re-piercing her earlobes, two months after the surgery. There is still some swelling and blanching of the skin due to the local anesthetic, which contains a small amount of epinephrine.
